Achievement Resources, LLC, was named Minority-Owned Business of the Year by the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce during an award ceremony and dinner at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park on May 16. EPIC stands for Entrepreneurial, Progressive, Innovative and Collaborative.

The EPIC Awards (Entrepreneurial, Progressive, Innovative and Collaborative) recognizes businesses and individuals that support the community, demonstrate growth, are innovative, and have worked with others as mentors and collaborators. Achievement Resources is nominated for Minority-Owned Business of the Year.

Renwick Brutus and authors Greg Smith and Ken Fortier offer networking and career advice, followed by a reception and book signing hosted by Grand Valley State University and facilitated by Kim Monaghan of Career Connections.

Renwick Brutus delivers the keynote address at Inside Grand Rapids (IGR) on May 9, 2012. Developed by the Center for Community Leadership, IGR is designed for leaders new to the community looking to better understand and engage in Grand Rapids, recently promoted individuals who require a better understanding of the community, and anyone who desires to successfully engage in Grand Rapids.
